Dutch electronic trio moving away from the mainstream with the unique vocal stylings by Brazilian Lilian Vieira. Outro Lado, or "another side," is a varied mix of song structure and influences – from samba, jazz, trip-hop, drum 'n' bass, and funk, to bossanova. If early Spring Heel Jack had been taken under the wing of Martin Denny or Esquivel we could probably grasp the outcome sounding something like Outro Lado. That would work on paper I suppose, but having this come through your speakers is something entirely different. Imagine Beat Generation jazz and r 'n' b at a tiny smoke-filled club in Rio De Janeiro played by a drum 'n' bass DJ from London. Imagine the possibilities.
