Widely known for their ability to mix The Beach Boys' melodies with My Bloody Valentine's noise, The Summer Hits were the loudest, most wonderfully unique pop band on the planet during the 1990s.

Rex Thompson (vocals, bass), Josh Schwartz (drums), and Darren Radermaker (guitars) produced one of their finest singles for us. Josh and Darren played in Further, another of our favorite bands of the era. Further later developed into Beachwood Sparks and The Tyde.

Originally released on February 28, 1995, we made 210 on green vinyl and 600 on black vinyl before we let it go out of print.

These songs were later released on their Beaches and Canyons 1992-1996 CD (X-mas) of which the band stated "The Summer Hits group strongly recommend you groove to these songs the way in which they were laid down; that is to say, at a deafening volume while utterly loaded."
