Tom B Stomper
b/w Liquid Bass After relocating
to San Diego, California (with Kojak in tow), Tom B. hunted down the Solid
Liquid Gas 12" and attended the producer's DJ sets. The partnership
moved Tom past his Soul Hypnotist releases and mixtapes, to venture out
with his first solo 12". Two mind-numbing steppers are the result. As a co-conspirator (with Intelligent Recordings producer Kojak) in the Soul Hypnotist project, Tom B. proved his inimitable style in creating drum ‘n’ bass and downtempo soundscapes. With Stomper and Liquid Bass, Tom B. reaches a new high in his first foray into dancefloor territory. Working together under the name Soul Hypnotist, Tom B., along with Kojak have produced a number of tracks and the CD Exotic Neurotic (on Grey Communication). Their recent relocation to San Diego (from St. Louis) led to a quick introduction to the cities only drum ‘n’ bass label run by producer/DJ Keith York. Taking notice of both his Solid Liquid Gas and Werks Factory DJ projects, Tom B. inquired about working with the label. What followed were a sling of dubplates and this - Tom B.’s debut 12” for the DJ set. |
