Dewey Defeats Truman

SG-034 - B-Sides, Rarities and Out-Takes - 8-song CD
SG-042 - Blue Ruin b/w Reverse Status - 2-song 7"

From the bands Red Dye No. 5 and Luper, Dewey Defeats Truman was born. Red Dye No.5's James Reader (bass, vocals) and Scott Frazier (drums) met Mark MacBride (guitar, vocals) at a San Diego tavern - as fans of each other's bands - and began to write songs.

Soon enough the trio recorded and toured - playing opening slots for Jesus Lizard, Archers of Loaf and Kelley Deal.

Following their 2001 debut, coyly titled B-Sides, Rarities and Out-Takes, the band released Road to Nowhere Maps (in 2002) on the label Has Anyone Ever Told You.
