Oliver Obert and Roland Saum formed Sportsguitar in Lucerne, Switzerland in 1993. Following their own release of Fade/Cliche, they released a single on our friends' label, Derivative, then signed with Sub Pop and Matador domestically. Following their living on our floor for a while during their US tour, we were able to encourage them to release 'Filthy' on one Amour.
